Our Nation, Our Families and the Harvest
A Week of United Prayer
This week we join together to pray for our nation, our families, and the harvest of souls. Set aside a few quiet minutes each day, read the scripture for each point, and pray it back to God in your own words.
Key Scripture
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
1. Give thanks for God’s faithfulness
Psalm 100:4-5 — “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting.”
2. Pray for our nation and its leaders
1 Timothy 2:1-2 — “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”
3. Stand in the gap for our families
Joshua 24:15 — “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
4. Cry out for the church and revival
Psalm 85:6 — “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
5. Pray for the lost and the harvest
Matthew 9:37-38 — “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
6. Ask for personal strength and purity
Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
